Artist Alidia Ericsson was born in Taranaki, New Zealand and completed a four-year degree at Palmerston North College of Education, majoring in art. She then went on to pursue her teaching career in the Bay of Plenty, incorporating her passion for the creative. During this time Alidia regularly ran art extension classes for students in a variety of media. Alidia has also completed a Diploma in Art and Creativity with Honours.

As a full-time artist, her contemporary artworks complement and enrich the interiors of homes and businesses with vibrancy and texture. Her works are expressive, contemporary landscapes, where her own interpretations and emotional representations capture the essence of her subject matter.

Along with her husband and four children, Alidia has recently returned to live in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. This environment directly inspires some of her work, while other pieces depict her love for Mt Taranaki, Taupo and the Coromandel.
